When Microsoft entered the tablet game, people expected great things. Fortunately, the company has delivered. One such example is the Microsoft Surface RT. For a number of reasons, it did the company name proud. Here are some aspects to consider.
This tablet is definitely on the heavier side of the spectrum, coming in at 1.5 pounds or 24 ounces. However, it stretches for 10.8 inches and is 6.8 inches wide, but just 0.37 inches thick. All this size, however, is put to good use thanks to the 10.6 inch screen. That screen sets it apart from most full-size models on the market (it’s 0.9 inches bigger than the iPad’s screen, for example).
Fortunately, Microsoft took all this size and put it to work. The Surface RT runs on a 16.9 ratio with a resolution of 1,366×768 pixels. What’s great about this is that you can watch most television shows and movies without the black bars being added at the top and bottom of your screen. Movies that were shot in 2.35.1 (Scope) will require these bars, but they’re fare more unobtrusive.
There are some subtleties about the Microsoft Surface RT’s design that help set it apart from other options in the market. For example, it has a sleek, black, almost industrial-looking aesthetic that includes a beveled back. While this may not be the component that makes the deal, the finished product is visually pleasing and looks like a tablet Microsoft took a lot of time constructing. Plus, the VaporMg casing is sure to ward off wear and tear of all kinds.
Choose between 16 and 32GB, though you can add 128 more through the microSD card slot. There is also 2GB of RAM.
As you can see, there is a lot to like about this tablet offering by Microsoft. The truth is that there’s also plenty more where that came from.
