Best WiFi Routers of 2024 (For Every Scenario)

WiFi has evolved rapidly in the last few years. With all the new versions, which WiFi routers make the most sense to buy right now? After testing a ton, here are the four best WiFi routers I’d recommend in 2024.

  1. I’m so confused, seemingly for every product, people are scattering comments/reviews of its ineffectiveness.

    I just want good wifi! I wanna be 99.99% sure!

  2. My biggest issue with ORBI is that you can’t select or limit the band preference per device. On my TP LInk decos I can, so I’m able to force 5ghz on certain devices and it increases the chance my device will be handed off to another mesh router as I move. VS orbi which will always dictate it and sometimes it’ll throw devices onto a "3 bar 2.4ghz at slow speeds" vs keeping it at a "1 or 2 bar 5ghz at fast speeds". In my case, 2.4 = 20mb vs 5ghz at 60 with those bars respectively.

  3. For me 😂😂😂
    2023 = TP Link AX5400 X60 wifi 6, 3-pack Mesh system
    2024 = same as above
    2025 = TP Link BE65 BE11000 Tri-Band wifi 7, 3-pack Mesh system (will go for BE85 if have $$$) 👍👍👍👍

  4. Can anyone recommend one that’s just good for connection? These speeds all seem very high, I usually get around 200mbps download and very low upload speeds on my Hitron CODA-4680 Cable Modem but I just need something that won’t disconnect from the internet basically every day

  5. so let’s jus say my 100 mbps router will it be increased more than its original btw it’s Verizon 5g home internet.

  6. Given that WiFi 7 routers are going to remain expensive for some time, is it of any significant benefit to people with internet service available at max 1Gbps, and not a single device supporting WiFi 7?

  7. I have the net gear Orbi and I hate it. It’s non stop issues. Very inconsistent wifi coverage and stability. Don’t buy it.

  8. So stupid by Deco to have white routers. After daily exposure in the sun and it’s heat on the top they turn yellow.

  9. "For every scenario" so what’s the best if one’s primary concern is security? Updates, anti-hackability, monitoring traffic in/out, Guest options, etc etc. Not a great video this time sorry.

  10. He mentioned creating a wired “back haul” between the nodes of a mesh system. Does anyone know the purpose of doing this?

  11. The large majority of my devices connect to my WiFi 6 router using WiFi 5 so what is the point of getting a WiFi 7 router?

  12. ive been going back and forth to your chanel everytime i need to learn something about routers and stuff,ur the most easily to understand dude .ur really good on explaining or normal people like me😂

  13. So I have Xfinity internet and I am still renting out my gateway. Do you suggest me buying my own modem and router? And is the modem you mention in this video the one I should get? And do you think the Orbi is the best router/mesh network?

  14. Don’t buy Netgear if you care about MLO technology. Wifi7 standard has been finalized back in January of 2024, a year later and Netgear support still using the excuse as wifi7 is not finalized why MLO has no been added in a firmware update. I doubt they will ever enable it on current product line.

  15. Just know you can’t change the channel width from 40MHz on TP-LINK Deco Mesh systems (BAD) and you also can’t manually change the channel of either band (ALSO BAD). Bottom line, look for a product that can set these options automatically, but does allow you to manually change them if needed.

  16. Too much news about the security of TP-Link. I would avoid them like the plague, sucks because they are fantastic routers

  17. Purchased a Linksys Velop 3 node system which was barely mediocre, so I purchased 3 more nodes for a 3000 sq ft home.
    Not horrible, but nothing to write home about…and it was expensive.

  18. Thanks for the informative video. Are you able to change which Wi-Fi channel you want on the deco mesh systems? I have an old Orbi AC3000 triband already reached its end of service per the website and it all allows me to change which channel I want in the settings. Just wondering if Deco allows it. I’ve been considering a new mesh system. Thanks
