I Tested $1200 Worth Of 100W+ GaN Wall Chargers – Here Are My Top 5
Looking to get a wall charger that can all your devices at maximum speed? I’ve tested 12+ of the most popular GaN Wall Chargers with wattages above 100W. I’ve done multiple speed tests involving solo charging, charging under max loads, multiple device charging through laptops and multiple device charging through the charger.
Be warned though, these chargers are generally not cheap BUT there is one in my test group that was affordable AND fast!

"only happened 1 of 3 times", yes 33% of the time, very concerning
The apple charger also has one (kinda cheating) advantage as well. Its free with a MacBook Pro which many might have already if you are looking for a 100+w 3rd party brick. The only downsides to this being if you are looking for a 100w brick to travel with and not a laptop, you only have 1 port.
there is a new 140w prime charger with display from anker available right now in china or aliexpress. would love a review for that. they are launching it in 2025 i think in us.
Thanks!
its 2024, and still USB A. Looks like human just cannot evolve. Means you can’t use all the ports without bringing another type of cable.
The MacBook charger shouldn’t get extra points for charging the MacBook at over 100W. Apple has been infamous for adding hidden bullshit hardware and software limitations into their devices with the intent of having only their stuff working decently. It could very well be another of those cases, for all we know.
Why not the 100W SlimQ or the 100W Baseus CCGAN100US? Both 4 ports.
When you do these Top 5 videos, could you also either do a Bottom 5 (of the ones you tested) in the same video or a separate video. It’s really helpful to know WHAT chargers to AVOID, for example.
Where does the 120W Anker 737 stand in this list?
What is the best solo charger?
I got the same Voltme charger recently too, it works great. I do agree that it runs warmer than some other 100w chargers, not horribly hot though.
Charging from laptop will be slow. Multi Port is definitely needed.
Can you make a video on 12v car chargers?
You must be mistaken on the AOHI Magcube 140W. It can charge 140W oit of "each" usb-c port "at the same time." Not a "combined" 140W. So that 280W if you are using both ports at the same time. The AOHI Youth can only do 140W at a time but splits it if you use both ports. The Magcube doesn’t. Also, it states that in irder to get the full 140W charging that you "MUST" use their magsafe 3 cable. You didn’t use their cable I’m assuming. If none of this is true, then their Amazing page is straight up lying. Let me know.
looookit that little duuuug
Can you send me the iPad that you tested on because I can run it using the TIYP-C port? It doesn’t matter what you send because they work with the same port. In fact, it is a dream that is almost coming true. Please reply and thank you.
Can you do a car charger video? I’m a long haul trucker and usually have my stuff plugged into a car port
would be interesting to know longterm effects on your laptop messing with third party power stuff
I am not a fan of expensive charger. But when I saw the "FEEYOO" 210W charger, I knew it is the one. There are so many features on this charger that are just amazing. For people who need high power (like charging and using two laptop at once or even three laptops). This charger really stand out. For the $100 price take, it is just too much, luckily I got one for 50%. Check it out on the place you know where.
No Anker?
Gotta agree with some other comments – its hard to trust you when Anker isnt in the top 3 here.
Surprised to not see something like the Anker 747 in the top 5, especially since I see it on your desk 😀
What kept it off the list?
what you NEVER test is stability over time. if I’m going to use any of these devices as a laptop charger, i need to know if it will support constant connection and charging like a proper laptop charger device, not just occasional connection
Let me tell you that Ao hi is actually a charger OEM for Xiaomi, OPPO, and Huawei. This is their own brand. I don’t know if Amazon sells the 140W Youth Edition. The efficiency and ripple will be lower. If you want your iPhone battery to stay healthy for a long time, you should pay attention to a standard "ripple" when choosing a charger. This is the most important factor affecting your battery health. Of course, if your country has a voltage of 110V, ignore this sentence. It also depends on the conversion efficiency. The pursuit of small size will only bring greater heat and reduce the power of the charger. This is something the manufacturer will not tell you directly. The last sentence is that Anker has a bad reputation in China. ❤
Monty with the tie lol
Don’t buy Aohi! On paper it looks amazing. Works well for a few months and then it decreases performance ALOT, and then just doesn’t charge anymore. Aohi also doesn’t honor their 18months warranty. Just buy a name brand charger, this is just going to give you a overpriced brick.
Nice review! Would love to see you review the best foldable 3 in 1 chargers for traveling. 🤔
Magsafe cooling charger video
Satechi makes great chargers. I have the 165 Watt one that charge 4 devices at one time, even laptops.
Can you review AOHI External battery thinking about buying it
Hi, I bought the USB C Charger, Baseus 100W PD GaN3 Fast Wall Charger Block, 4-Ports [2USB-C + 2USB], it worked for my MSI Flip 2in1 laptop, but it did not work for my Thinkpad x1 yoga 7 2in1. Do you know why?
Can you do a single port charging brick that you can leave in the nightstand? Also, pls include the anker ones too. Love your videos ❤
Thank you for your videos, the tech world NEEDED someone like you. You do all the legwork so we don’t have to, thank you and keep the tech reviews coming.
Hi, any reco on how to remove a scratch from the applewatch screen? rhinoshield mentions cerium oxide polish. but does it remove the oleophobic coating? and can you reapply the oleophobic coating to the screen?
Came here for cool chargers these get too hot
If you want to find a hot charger just buy an open box from any retailer and you’ll find it it’s super hot because guess what some low-level YouTuber has already bought it for a dumb video like this just to return it for a full refund so he can scam the company while making money off of the affiliate links
And that’s how evil works.
I heard dji has pretty powerful chargers for there drones I wish he reviewed that one too.
FYI Ugreen has 3 different categories for their Nexode line of chargers. (Nexode, X Nexode, Pro Nexode). After doing some research the specs on the X Nexode line of Ugreen chargers seem to be better than the "Pro Nexode" line.
Why dont charger get small fans in them considering the sizes they come in
3:15 you say that as if that’s the be all end all answer to trusting a reviewer. I’m not saying that this is what you’re doing, but since you brought it up, someone in your position could still be fudging results to direct people towards a specific product in the lineup because you get a bigger kick back from that affiliate link out of the bunch. Which could technically still lead a “reviewer” to care about which product a viewer buys.
On a more positive note: good review. I respect the dedication. That’s a lotta chargers. And the addition of the dog dialog is cute.
How about GaN charge stations or wall chargers with 6+ USB-C PD ports?
Ugreen nexode pro 200W, not mentioned
Weird
Whenever I need to buy any sort of mobile/computer tech product, I always go to your channel. It is a ritual at this point, I know you are definetely soembody I can trust. Keep it up!
Love Cutie Monty! ❤️ looking like a distinct Gentleman😘
I can not find most of the chargers in your video in EU plug versions, does just sticking an adapter on top not ruin the power?
Thank you very much, sir, for your exceptional service. I’ve decided to purchase the 140-watt Apple charger.
Most useless review I’ve ever seen, without any tests, ugreen 140w still not revealed with charge test, ok
Please add UK amazon links
Ankers’ 100w charger is now only $42 for AmazonPrime, which imo makes this entire video obsolete. I personally got the Aohi and couldn’t be happier. I even got 120W from a single port using Aohi’s 240W cable. Why isn’t the ugreen 300w on here?
Omitting the 150W Anker 747 is like omitting Michael Jordan from the top ten basketball players of all time. I have 3 of them and in no way is the Spigen better. What a joke of a review.
